Belgian and Bristol
Looking out of the window and seeing all the parked cars frosted up. Two hot water bottles on the dash, half an hour better I left. No frost in Portishead and three guest ales in The Posset Cup.
It was a bit sunny. The Siren’s Calling was all Belgian and Bristol Ales. Rather expensive chips from next door as well. Tech support and Red Sky at night. Good 2024 times.

Minus 0.8c and a frosty start. Double hot water bottle on the dash and plenty of deicing fluid on the windscreen. A slow, even for Wales, journey to the M4. Sometimes, you follow really slow drivers. A nice, gentle drive from there in and it was just getting light as I arrived in Portishead. No frost either.
The Posset Cup to start and the afternoon in The Siren Calling. Wall to wall podcasts.

Showery, chilly and dark, however, it is a quality Beano. Avoiding the 20mph M4 protests and loading up with sandwiches in Portishead Sainsbury. Bacon Butty and all you can drink Coffee before the bar opens. The rest of the itinerary as well.

20231001 mb12 Day 03 Wrap
Begin the day with a Premier Inn all you can eat Full English and wash it done with a Pint of Darwin’s Origin from Salopian at The Lord High Constable of English. Squeezing in between the two a new contact lens order. Boosting The New Media Shown and Podcasting 2.0 with Sats. Loaded up with food at Sainsbury’s and again extra Nectar points. Arrived early at Warehouse 4, a whole 7 minutes early. Too loud, getting old.
The Sunday Oktoberfest
Start the day with a Premium Inn all you can eat Full English. The Tomato was intentionally left raw. The Lord High Constable of England had another Salopian Brew on Cask. Red October to start, nice and malty. The sun came out and the temperature went up. Did all the Festbiers and an Arbor too.

So Sainsbury’s Chicken Salad Sandwiches at 04:30 and leaving the Mac to upload to YouTube while I went to Costa Coffee. Salopian and BrewDog hoppy start. Five Guys probably worth the money but note every week. Deya on cask at the Pelican.
The Staying Awake Day
Lots of Costa Coffee to keep me awake today but then Salopian and BrewDog citrus hoppiness turned up to spoil it all. First time in a Five Guys, wish the burgers were wider not taller and the small serving of chips is plenty. Not cheap but very good.
Back to The Pelican, Gloucester. Fine Ale and Fast WiFi central. You don’t often see Deya on cask. Lots of Rugby fans and then it went quiet.
