Quality Rolls and Crisps
October 2021. The last time I was in Bristol. Why did it take me so long to return? It has been a great day. New pubs, cheese and onion rolls, spring onion crisps, beef and onion crisps, and Three UK providing great bandwidth. What a cracking day.

mb04 for June 2026. Off to Bristol for a bit of a Beano. 2 new Spoons for the Spoons anpp and one new Spoons for the Cask Marque app. It seems to be a bit rainy here which is a shame however the new Spoons of the Robert Fitz Harding is rather nice. Cheers Tipplers.

The Project, Caerphilly, their birthday party. Lots of Vault City sours and, on the food front, barbecue chicken on skewers with dirty fries. The aircon was lovely. Hats off to The Project and Happy Birthday.

Saturday mornings, sunny Saturday mornings, and the heat wave is on. I have been out in the back garden planting strawberry plants and salad leaves. And now, something from oldi. The project of course later.
Beers Of The Beano – Saturday 16 May 2026
When May is rather wet and not very early summery, it’s time to revisit pubs that you haven’t been to since June 2021. The Rickards. What a great place that is. Twt Lol Lollfest glasses and Grey Trees beer. Then on to the Otley, where I got waved at. Still haven’t fixed the WiFi though, but the beers are really rather good. Nearly lost my bus pass as well.

Badly lit, poor sound. May Day 2026 Weekend in Chippenham. Picture in Picture and settling on iMovie. New Bristol Brewery won out.
What happened on the second day of mb03 2026
Dry but grey to start. iMovie over Resolve for simple edits. Putting Picture in Picture back. Gentle Full English. The Waverley and People. Spotting rain.
What happened on the first day of mb03 2026
A gentle drive along the M4 with the odd light fog patch. Costa breakfast and someone had booked my space at the Bridge House. Taking it easy and some was also in my space in the Prince of Wales. Rain and an exhausted early night.
