Another Saturday Taproom
It’s been ages since I have used the Starbucks app and I still had some credit on it, which was a plus. The barcode scanning method seems more effective too. We need faster Internet, whether it is mobile, fixed or Public WiFi. It’s interfering with my Festival drinking. Bristol Rovers are at home to Newport County and the Commercial Rooms is full of Rovers fans. The Stillage and the bar cask Festival Ales are beginning to run dry.
So you go looking for a joint Taproom (via Google Maps) and you fine a Left Handed Giant Taproom. Great Ales and Glasses and I come away with a glass in a well wrapped Box. Great customer service. Just around the corner is the Newtown Park / Verdant Tamproom. Solid brews and a mobile van Chicken Sandwich. Didn’t rain.
20211021 – mb05 Day 01 Wrap
A refurbished Class 158, Temple Meads is now a huge Bike Park, PIA problems, Commercial Room Stillage, Semi Summer at LHG and another T-shirt.
Superior Stillage
You know when it rains when it isn’t forecast, however it had stopped by the time I got to Newport. Mind you the cold had arrived. The train arrived on time although it was only a two coach Class 158 but it was nicely refurbished. Bags dropped efficiently at the Ibis. Coffee in the Knights Templar and PIA needed to be uninstalled again.
The Commercial Rooms had all Autumn Festival Ales on still and there was not a dud out of the seven I had. The Shift Manager was great and it turns out she was from Aber.
Moved on to The Left Handed Giant Brewpub. Got weak and bought a T-shirt. Great place but needs faster WiFi. Quality start to #mb05.
On The Train, In The Rain
I hoping that I won’t be upside down this week. A workaround but no real answer. More updates of everything. What happens when your mobile network goes down and #RWC2019 and The Spoons Autumn Beer Fest #SaturdayWrap
