Badly lit, poor sound. June 2026 3 nights in Bristol. Picture in Picture and settling on iMovie. The only thing that didn’t happen was the Full English on the last day in The Knights Templar.

What happened on the second day of mb04 2026

It’s the little things, like 100 extra loyalty points if you don’t have your room cleaned. That will do for me.

The Knights Templar and the Commercial Rooms, and in the Commercial Rooms, virtual WhatsApp breakfast. There was the World Cup draw sweepstake, and coming out of the Commercial Rooms, I saw an air raid shelter tour. Went to the Barley Mow, and Gemini went down worldwide. You can’t trust these things; however, a blackberry raspberry grape Berliner Weisse—that’s what it’s all about.

Virtual WhatsApp Beanoing

A day of two Spoons, lots of coffee, and a virtual WhatsApp team meeting. I really do work with some exceptional people.

In the afternoon, the Barley Mow, a Bristol Beer Factory pub. Lots of cask and keg, some exceptional beers. Wow, this is turning into a magnificent Beano.

Quality Rolls and Crisps

October 2021. The last time I was in Bristol. Why did it take me so long to return? It has been a great day. New pubs, cheese and onion rolls, spring onion crisps, beef and onion crisps, and Three UK providing great bandwidth. What a cracking day.

Wind Down Sunday

So the Spoons website said it was open at 06:30 but it actually wasn’t open until 08:00. Who knows with the Rhona. It 07:30 it was closed, however the WiFi reached out into the Beer garden. And testing of PIA with the Cloud has been successful so far. Turns out the bar at The Knights Templar opens at 08:00.

Moor Beer is closed on a Sunday, a Creepy Crawley got in my and I ripped my contact lens getting it out. I am making new plans like the wind. Raining.

So I went to LHG and had two, including one with Kveik Yeast. I pushed off when it filled out. I tried looking in The Barley Mow but that was full to the rafters. There mb05 ended.

Lazy Friday Pubbing

Walking along the river bank just before dawn, it’s why Bristol in Autumn is a quality Beano. Coinbase gave me $6.00 USD worth of new Crypto. I ping PIA Support with my iOS issue. I sign up for Worldcoin and another 7 Festival Ales are in the bag, however not all of them are uniques.

Chief said try the Cornubia and I did. What a cracking pub, a return visit is on the cards. Then onto the Barley Mow, the Bristol Beer Factory’s home Pub and what a cracking Pub. Bristol is also an Electric Scooter City.

You know when it rains when it isn’t forecast, however it had stopped by the time I got to Newport. Mind you the cold had arrived. The train arrived on time although it was only a two coach Class 158 but it was nicely refurbished. Bags dropped efficiently at the Ibis. Coffee in the Knights Templar and PIA needed to be uninstalled again.

The Commercial Rooms had all Autumn Festival Ales on still and there was not a dud out of the seven I had. The Shift Manager was great and it turns out she was from Aber.

Moved on to The Left Handed Giant Brewpub. Got weak and bought a T-shirt. Great place but needs faster WiFi. Quality start to #mb05.
