20191107 #mb15 Day 01 Wrap

Contact lenses and parking apps were against me. Not keen on the rather dark and roadworks burdened M5 either. However, a 06:30 opening Costa in the centre of town and a compact City Centre won me back. Overfilled #CurryThursday and a bit of a find with The Beer Cellar. I can’t see the sea from my Premier Inn room and The Pursuit of Hoppiness is another Exeter winner.

GMT Weather and Purdah

GMT arrives with two days of frost and then two days of a cutting North Wind. The upside bug has been fixed, apple updates, an election and Untappd supporter #SaturdayWrap

Garden – October 2019

Mostly mild but it finished with folding and the a frost. Goodbye Tomatoes and hello to already sprouting Summer Onions. The lawn looks nice and there are still some Strawberries. Garden to be dug and then nuked. No more weeds for this Autumn and all of new year. Not sure how healthy the Plum Tree is. Time will tell.

Strange Cheers

Post Oct-O-Bar 2019, still raining, still flooding. Newport, The Queens Hotel. Lots of cheering for England, possibly more than the All Blacks. The John Wallace Linton, more All Black Cheering. Too wet for for the Harbour Fish Bar, so off to the chippy next to the leaking Bus Station roof. Tiny Rebel has new staff. Confused that you get a glass with a can.

It’s the end of October 2019 and it was time for Oct-O-Bar 2019 at The Otley Arms in Treforest. It rained a lot and there was flooding. However the Ales were Fine and they were all cask. CAMRA members turned out too. Good times and Mary showed up too.

Right Way Up

Well there was a workaround but mmm umm. Bridgend on the train. The penultimate day of The Spoons Autumn Real Ale Festival. Meeting up with one that then became two. Ended up in The Coach where their micro brewery ales were rather good. Chips and a sausage in batter too.

Bug Logging Day

The Spoons Autumn Real Ale Festival is roughly at the same time as major software houses upgrade time. That’s why the #SaturdayWrap (live from The Queens Hotel – Newport) is upside down. So that’s why it’s Bug Logging Time. It was a double chips day and I got grassy in The Pen & Wig. Rained.

Christmas Started Here

Oktoberfest 2019 is over for me. Gloucester again next year? 3 days off and the countdown to Christmas started. MacOS Catalina, I holding off. Overcast fixes iOS 13 bugs. Spoons Autumn Beer Fest and the rain doesn’t stop #SaturdayWrap

Could be upside down (again)
