Too Gentle A Schedule
There was a quality plan. The weather and even TFWRail were on my side but the scheduled slipped and in the end it was fine. Revisit scheduled and a shorter walk. Raspberry Beret from Crafty Devil was the beer of the day #Penarth
An Orangery in the Rain
What a quality Spoons (The Imperial), not only having an Orangery but much Cask Ales. It rained after the frost and then I have power sockets in The Pursuit of Hoppines. I found Tabac too but I was there too early.
Best Get A T-Shirt
Both lenses in first time and iOs 13.2.2 installed on all. A Christmas Tree and a full of of nippers Chevalier Inn. I didn’t get the QR code however. A T-Shirt from The Beer Cellar, still without a cellar and the best covers in The Pursuit of Hoppiness.
In Pursuit of The Meeting Cellar
Day 01 of #mb15, Exeter, November 2019. Issues, many issues with Contact Lenses. A weatherly and unlit drive down. The joy of parking apps, however Costa Coffee, Bacon and Coffee. George’s Meeting House for #CurryThursday and then what a find, The Beer Cellar. Check in and off to The Pursuit of Hoppiness. All were winters and I already like Exeter.
Exeter November 2019 – The Start #mb15
Not a good start when you can get one contact lens in and the other one seemed to be the wrong strength. Disposable, so throwing them away and starting again solved it. The M5 when it’s dark and raining and unlit. Not my favourite driving experience. Thank you to Waze for getting me there. Car Park app, always deep joy. However I’m close to a Costa Coffee and I’m currently in a Spoons – The George’s Meeting House.
Strange GMT Feeling Beano
Yellow rain warning, Yellow wind warning and sodden in the Malcolm Uphill. England lost in the Rugby, I got on the Penarth Flyer in the Sun. Head of Steam and Beelzebubs and the rain was back. Dorothy’s chip and it was rush to The City Arms to avoid getting sodden again. Early return home and there was minor flooding in Wood Street #Cardiff
Strange Cheers
Post Oct-O-Bar 2019, still raining, still flooding. Newport, The Queens Hotel. Lots of cheering for England, possibly more than the All Blacks. The John Wallace Linton, more All Black Cheering. Too wet for for the Harbour Fish Bar, so off to the chippy next to the leaking Bus Station roof. Tiny Rebel has new staff. Confused that you get a glass with a can.
Right Way Up
Well there was a workaround but mmm umm. Bridgend on the train. The penultimate day of The Spoons Autumn Real Ale Festival. Meeting up with one that then became two. Ended up in The Coach where their micro brewery ales were rather good. Chips and a sausage in batter too.
Stillage Fest
A sign of old age no doubt but it was just Caerphilly on the last day of my leave. It was also the first day of the Wetherspoon’s Autumn Real Ale Festival. The Malcolm Uphill has all 40 Ales and six on Stillage. Good times.
