Strange Cheers
Post Oct-O-Bar 2019, still raining, still flooding. Newport, The Queens Hotel. Lots of cheering for England, possibly more than the All Blacks. The John Wallace Linton, more All Black Cheering. Too wet for for the Harbour Fish Bar, so off to the chippy next to the leaking Bus Station roof. Tiny Rebel has new staff. Confused that you get a glass with a can.
Right Way Up
Well there was a workaround but mmm umm. Bridgend on the train. The penultimate day of The Spoons Autumn Real Ale Festival. Meeting up with one that then became two. Ended up in The Coach where their micro brewery ales were rather good. Chips and a sausage in batter too.
Christmas Started Here
Oktoberfest 2019 is over for me. Gloucester again next year? 3 days off and the countdown to Christmas started. MacOS Catalina, I holding off. Overcast fixes iOS 13 bugs. Spoons Autumn Beer Fest and the rain doesn’t stop #SaturdayWrap
Could be upside down (again)
Stillage Fest
A sign of old age no doubt but it was just Caerphilly on the last day of my leave. It was also the first day of the Wetherspoon’s Autumn Real Ale Festival. The Malcolm Uphill has all 40 Ales and six on Stillage. Good times.
Garden – September 2019
The middle of the month had a week of Full On Indian Summer and it was all rather good. Strawberries, lettuce, tomatoes and onions all fro the garden. But since then it has rained and rained with the lettuce pot flooding. A quick in and out to get the video before the rains started again. Clearing the weeds and digging the left over potatoes start next week/month.
Replacement Can Half Saturday
The Indian Summer has gone, it’s getting dark in the mornings and the rain, well the rain, it doesn’t stop. Also as it’s the end of the month, times are getting hard. So it’s only a half day in Caerphilly and an emergency Autumn haircut. The replacement for the Sixpoint cans have arrived in Wetherspoons. One from BrewDog and the other from Oakham Ales. They are not bad but I preferred the Sixpoint Ales. It was a Cloud Burst day and I was home for One.
