Skateboarding and Cloudbursts
The last day of #mb08, in fact the last full day of the combined Beano. Blowy out but dry and Costa has Bacon Rolls back. A wander over to the Skateboard Park, which it isn’t and Fine Ales in The Regal from 08:00. All £2.19 a Pint. Internet issues in the Pelican but he Can Cooler is fully functional. Meanwhile, outside Cloudbursts.
Misty Pricing Up
Flaming June? Where did all this mist come from? Staffing issues in Costa Coffee and no Bacon Rolls. However, I coped. A quiet morning in The Lord High Constable Of England. Recording videos and drinking Cask Ale. Moving on to The Pelican, what a wonderful Pub it is. Tesco for tea.
And The Bridge Was Up
Leaving the Hereford Travelodge at 05:25 on a grey and showery Monday morning. Wake took me along the M50 instead of the all cross country route suggested by Google Maps. I like Waze. Coming into the Quays, the bridge was up and the red lights were flashing. The Tall Ships were leaving Gloucester and looked very impressive. Another free large Cappuccino on the Costa app and Salad Leaves seeds amongst other things from Sainsbury’s. Turning The Lord High Constable of England into a recording studio, also taking advantage of the FTTC WiFi. An announcement of a vote of no confidence was made for today. Platty Joobs over and Politics are back. Bunting coming down too. Tank, Amazon Lockers at the Premier Inn and Brewhouse & Kitchen.
Platty Joobs
So it hammered down overnight. It’s a grey and showery day. Yesterday’s Beer Video failed at 97%, so I redid it in 1080p and re-uploaded it. Ordered a new Logitech Mini Keyboard, for delivery on Monday to the Premier Inn in Gloucester. That is becoming an Apple Announcement thing. The Kings Fee for a Hazy Jane start to the day. Jonny showed up at the Hereford Beer House for a Fine Ale and Beer discussion. Me, lots of Fine Ales before the Wales match.
Long May It Rain
It was dawn but it was still dark. I drove like a Granny as a litre of Petrol was going up, even as I drove. Rain from Monmouth to Hereford. I used one of my two Costa Coffee free drinks in Costa, a large Cappuccino. It was wall to wall Brenda Bunting in the Kings Fee. It may have even had a foot rest at table 27? You know, it’s always good times in The Hereford Beer House. Also Fine German Ales.
Rain and German Lager
With some gentle overnight rain which will be good for the garden back home. Sometimes you can’t get your disposal contact lenses in. Sometimes you can’t get your MBP to play well with a piece of beta software. I need a M2 MBA. Spoons for a Full English. Imperial for out of the rain. Hereford Beer House for sours and a German Lager testing session. Somewhat excellent.
The Joy of the Return
A frosty car roof and front wind screen, that’s how #mb06 started. Twilight, then dawn and some mist for the journey to Hereford. Hereford had more frost ands breakfast was in a new Costa Coffee. Coffee and a Bacon roll, of course. Recording and uploading video in The Kings Fee, while drinking cask ale. The Hereford Beer House is now run by a Welshman, still miss Jonny though. However it’s very good and I met Daisy the Cat.

The First Full Day
It’s still rather blowy. To The Regal via the Skateboard Park (apparently). In training for the first full day of The Pelican Inn Winter Beer Festival (in March). Discovery that Untappd has cask and nobody moves when the Wetherspoons fire alarm goes off. Packed in the Pelican even before the Fest starts at 17:00 Next fest 09 June.
Blowy Studio Locker and Brasso
A solid hour of reality distortion. Paper bag in the locker. The Lord High Constable of England and a Full English. PMQs and a Quantock Gose. Cleaning the pumps with Brasso and filling the Untappd.
