It was just turning light as I left home. However, it rained all the way to Gloucester, which was not forecast and Costa didn’t open until 08:00, despite what its website said. The Lord High Constable of England for Coffee and Beer, Bacon Butties and Diet Cupcakes.
The Gloucester Brewery Easter Beer Festival, blowy but dry. Cask and Keg in plastic glass but as plastic glasses go, not bad. The first band had a young lady playing a Les Paul, solid for Easter.

Lightish and showery journey to Chippenham. It was interesting trying to buy an Apple Gift Card. Happy DTNS in Costa Coffee. Five Fest Ales in The Bridge House. What a wonderful micro The Prince of Wales is and there will be a second Pub in July.

Looking out of the window in the Travelodge to see the cars in the carpark covered in frost. Not a good sight. Standard Costa breakfast. Test Transcriptionist in The Kings Fee and boy does it have an odd UI. The Beer House was full of Cloudwater Birthday Ales and newly arrived merch. I purchased both. A cold and frosty departure.

Starting with an icy roof on the car, then mist in Trethomas and finally semi sunny entering Hereford. As I got out of the car in the Travelodge carpark it started to rain. Sainsbury, then a Coffee in Costa and the standard Cask Ale and filled rolls in The Orange Tree.
It got very Pubby in the Beer In Hand with experimental hops and lots of dogs. I need to visit it more.

All you can eat Full English to beat the cold weather. Strangely no frost. Then onto The Posset Cup, where someone had superglued a 10p to my table. I seem to have developed a taste for Doombar. Extra Nectar points at Sainsbury’s, things then back to The Siren’s calling. Drinking LocAle. Nothing Else Matters.

The car was frosted up, so it was two hot water bottles on the dash and de-icing fluid everywhere else. The journey to the M4 was following a driver even slower than me. No frost in Portishead and Spoons was Coffee and Guest Ales. The Siren’s Calling was all Bristol and Belgian Ales. Chips from next door as well. A cold Beano but a quality Beano.

Wet and Windy with a 40mph speed limit on the M4. Easy to find the Travelodge and there were spaces in the Carpark. There was a Tesco Express nearby and just around the corner from it was the footbridge across the railway. Just along from the Railway Station was the Prince of Wales. The town centre was a minute or two walk. Costa for breakfast and into the Bridge House, Spoons for the rest of the morning. It was new and clean but the WiFi was slow. The Prince of excellent but no WifI, so sit near the window if you are an Untappd user. The Travelodge was also new and clean but suffered from slow WiFi, booked a Full English.
