mb03 2026 Unplugged
Badly lit, poor sound. May Day 2026 Weekend in Chippenham. Picture in Picture and settling on iMovie. New Bristol Brewery won out.
What happened on the first day of mb03 2026
A gentle drive along the M4 with the odd light fog patch. Costa breakfast and someone had booked my space at the Bridge House. Taking it easy and some was also in my space in the Prince of Wales. Rain and an exhausted early night.
mb06 2025 Unplugged
Badly lit, poor sound. The late Summer Bank Holiday Weekend in Chippenham.
20250823 mb06 Day 01 Wrap
What happened on the first day of mb06 2025
A standard pleasant start to mb06. Costa breakfast and then a ice bucket arrive to the Bridge House. Evacuated when water started to gush from the ceiling. Finishing the pint in the beer garden. The Prince of Wales for the afternoon. Where I had my first £10.00 can of beer. Times are hard!
Leakage
Gentle journey. Standard Costa Coffee. Flooded Bridge House and napping in the Prince of Wales. Collab too.

20250215 mb01 Day 01 Wrap
Really good to get back Beanoing. The M4 was horrible and when I got off at Junction 17, I got a mention on DTNS Live. Drizzling in Chippenham. The Bridge House £1.99 and Craft Cans. The Prince of Wales, Putty and a Glass. Happy Travelodge.
Rain but The Fridges Wins
Rainy first Beano of the year. Lots of mentions on DTNS. Fridges rule and there was Dutty too. Quality Beano with a Glass.
Five and Dry
Of course the journey to Chippenham was damp. However, it was mostly light, which is a major positive. Costa then Spoons, The Bridge House. Five Fest Ales all reviewed and all halves. Sitting upstairs, overlooking the river. A very pleasant morning.
A boneless Chicken basket for lunch and then over to the Prince Of Wales. Dogs, Fine Ales and news of a new Craft Pub in July. Chippenham is becoming my new Portishead. Quality Beanoing.
20231028 mb13 Day 01 Wrap
Wet and Windy with a 40mph speed limit on the M4. Easy to find the Travelodge and there were spaces in the Carpark. There was a Tesco Express nearby and just around the corner from it was the footbridge across the railway. Just along from the Railway Station was the Prince of Wales. The town centre was a minute or two walk. Costa for breakfast and into the Bridge House, Spoons for the rest of the morning. It was new and clean but the WiFi was slow. The Prince of excellent but no WifI, so sit near the window if you are an Untappd user. The Travelodge was also new and clean but suffered from slow WiFi, booked a Full English.
