Mist, Frost and The Little Taphouse

A frosty, misty Tuesday just before December. The Little Taproom was already open when I arrived in Newport. This makes sense as it is also a coffee room. Apparently, it’s from the same people as St Cannas, in Cardiff and a little bird (Internet) tells me it’s Fine Ales from 11:00.

However, it’s on to The John Wallace Linton as their bar open at 08:00. A choice of Christmas or World Cup Ales greet me. Christmas wins with The Christmas in a Glass, Plum Pudding from JW Lees.

Lots of Chips from The Harbour Fish Bar, still in the mist. Then onto The Little Taphouse. Lots of Fine Ales but initial WiFi issues. However, the fine art of unplugging it and then plugging it in again fixed that. Impressions, small, friendly, good opening hours, cask and keg ales with a good selection of cans and bottles. Would be better if they had sandwiches or baguettes. Probably good back on Saturday.

To finish off, The Malcolm Uphill on Wednesday. Had another Luxury, Festive Mince Pie.

And This is Tiny Rebel’s Newport Bar
