Garden – August 2020
Garden – July 2020
June was a lot like April with lots of mixed weather and the start of July has been similar. However, I have saved on the water meter and the now fed lawn has turned green. So far, food eaten from the Garden, Strawberries, Mint, Lettuce, Red Duke of York (chipped), Spring Onions and Senshyu Yellow (Summer Onions). Weeding like the wind, as you would expect. I have some small Tomatoes but they are still green. Hoping they turn read soon. Lockdown easing.

Garden – May 2020
Happy that the fence is back up but it really needs painting. Lots of weather both a heatwave and lots of rain. Frost returning in w/c 10/05/20 according to Derek The Weather. Getting compost has been difficult but Aldi has rescued me a number of times. Whilst food shopping, not on a separate journey. The Blue Danubes (maincrop) have finally pushed through and the Red Duke of York have started to flower. Indoor Spring Onions and the outdoor Summer Onions are coming on well. Lettuce (mixed) are making good progress and the indoor seedlings – Tomato, Peppers and Cucumbers are all to schedule. I think there will be Strawberries by the beginning of June. The weeds, well they seem rather weed killer resistant. Staying safe.
Garden – April 2020
March was a funny month as I’m sure you all can guess. So with the fence being mostly down and the Corona Virus, nothing much happened. However the fence is now back up, I have 13 seed potatoes (Red Duck of York) planted in various bags and containers. However, I’m now out of compost and I can’t just pop out to get some. The Summer Onions are coming on well and I’ve planted some maincrop sets to replace those that failed. On the indoor front. I have planted, White an Red Spring Onions, Lemon Basil and Garden Mint. Oh and I think we are having a drought. 2020 is turning out to be one hell of a year.
Garden – November 2019
November is grey and it has rained a lot. We even had a little snow. A few leaves left on the hedge and the weeds have died back. It all needs digging but it’s too wet. Life on the Spring and Summer Onion front though.
Garden – October 2019
Mostly mild but it finished with folding and the a frost. Goodbye Tomatoes and hello to already sprouting Summer Onions. The lawn looks nice and there are still some Strawberries. Garden to be dug and then nuked. No more weeds for this Autumn and all of new year. Not sure how healthy the Plum Tree is. Time will tell.

The Mushrooms are gone
But there are more weeds than ever
Garden – May 2019
Just before the rain
And more like April

All the Potatoes are in
And the bags are being earthed up
